Convenient bus + bike service for cyclists and cycle from Italy:
Bus + bike service from Venice or Ostiglia on the River Po / Verona on the northbound route. The service is available if at there are at least 10 passengers. When the service is busy nearly every day it will be used in the other dircetion as luggage transport service from accomodation to accomodation.

It is also possible to return from the end of your journey by Italian state railways (cycle transport only on regional trains) and both the Austrian and German Bundesbahn.
